Quick Guide: Submitting Your Manuscript to IVS

Here is a sample article published in Information Visualization. The MS Word file may help you estimate the number of journal pages shown in the PDF file:

1.      MS Word

2.      PDF

Please follow the instructions for authors.

Here are the minimum steps you must follow in order to pass the quality check and proceed to the next stage.

If there are any discrepancies, follow the official instructions for authors.

1.      Use a single-column, double-spaced format for your manuscript

2.      Use the Vancouver style for citations (i.e. numbers as superscript) and references

3.      Separate image files from your main text and submit them as individual image files

4.      Submit an additional artwork form if you have more than 5 color figures that you wish to print in color in the printed edition*

5.      Submit a scanned copy of a signed copyright form. You can download the form here.

6.      Be aware that a page charge of 20 USD or 10 GBP per printed page for pages from page 9 onwards**

*Calculate the cost of printing color figures in the printed edition (the first 5 color figures are free, you will be charged for the rest of them @ £150 per image file).

**As a crude estimation, three double-spaced manuscript pages correspond to one typeset journal page.
